Mondays Rock!

Not really...but I'm trying to pump myself up. It's all rainy and dreary and not exactly exciting here in my little corner of Ohio. So, in order to make it more exciting, I'm entering a few challenges over at Moxie Fab—love that website. Tons of inspiration, great challenges, prizes all over the place and fun posts. Here's the link if you're interested in making your Monday more exciting by entering one of the challenges. You can find them on the right when you get there...Good luck!! http://www.moxiefabworld.com/

This is my Itty Bitty card for that challenge. It's a Hero Arts butterfly and I trimmed cardstock and adhered the butterfly just in the center so the wings are free. There's a pencil in the pic for scale. I stamped it, then inked with Distress Inks, sprayed with water to blend and then added Crystal Stickles. I love me some Stickles! I took the photo in a cool pie dish from a friend.

Next up, for a different Moxie Fab challenge is the Make Your Own Stamp Challenge. I tried a ton of things—a rosette, fabric, and other little objects. They just didn't work at all. I had a rubber eraser that was already rubbed to a nub and had a funny shape, and it almost looked like a heart. With a few swipes of the exacto knife, it was a pretty serviceable heart stamp. Yay! Here it is in pink (and yes, Stickled with Crystal) with a Hero Arts background stamp that's gold embossed. I also added little hearts from another Hero Arts set and the sentiment "Love Always" from yet another set. Yay for Hero Arts! The washi tape is Queen and Co. Fun challenge! So fun, I used the same homemade stamp in the next challenge from Hero Arts.

This challenge is to make an ATC. I made one in canvas and then took some of the threads out of the edges. I used the same "Love Always" stamp from Hero Arts http://heroarts.com/blogs/club/ I tried to go a little more masculine, with no pink! But I still had to use my Stickles. They don't stick quite as well to fabric as to paper, but they still are so much neater than glitter in some people's hands...ok, my hands. The canvas ATC is adhesive backed, so I just mounted it to distressed cardstock, distressed it some more with ink and then added washi tape from Target. I used a kraft card base and it's all ready for Valentine's Day!

HAPPY MONDAY!! No matter the weather, I'm going to make this a good one—wish me luck!
