My Country Tis of Thee

It's almost July 4th, a day when we celebrate the founding fathers and our freedom from tyranny with bbq and explosions.

In all seriousness, though, I can't imagine a country where speaking out against the leaders would be treason and I can't imagine not being able to voice my support, my concerns and my opinions about the laws of the land. I can't imagine a country where I wouldn't have the right to vote, where I wouldn't have the right to education, where I wouldn't have the right to speak my mind because I am a woman. And that is because I was blessed to be born in these United States. So, thank you to the people along the way who have made my life of freedom possible, people who have fought and struggled and defended and made this a beautiful and amazing place to live. To those who continue to make this country safe and free, Thank You and God Bless.

In that patriotic vein, here's a red, white and blue card. The butterfly is white embossed on vellum and the back is inked with distress inks in Fired Brick and Broken China.

Happy 4th!!
