Baby, You Can Light My Fire

Here's a festive candle you can make as a gift or for a wedding. I copied a photo of my hubby and me on thin copy paper. I adhered it to a candle with white glue and water (50/50 mix). Then I used pins to adhere ribbon, and self-adhesive jewels for sparkle. Easy and fun! And, if you use tissue paper for your photo, you can heat the candle outside with a heat gun and then affix the tissue paper. That's it!

It came off pretty easily later when I wanted to remove it, so you can use a spot of hot glue in unobtrusive corners to hold the photo more securely. You could also use Mod Podge if you wanted, but I'd test it first to see if the image will bleed. If you'll notice, I also recycled a CD for a candle base. I added stickers for fun.

Happy Holidays!
