Happy New Year!

I remember in high school, imagining what the world and my future would be like in the year 2000. I never tried to imagine 2014 because 2000 seemed far enough away. Yet, here we are, celebrating the new year and moving forward. My wish for all is a peaceful, healthy, happy and safe year!

The years seem to fly by as we get older and I fully intend to enjoy this one. My husband and I will be turning 46 this year and celebrating 24 years of marriage! This is the year my daughter will turn 20 and my son will enter high school (in the fall, of course). I'll be trying to enjoy the days and not get bogged down in the little things that seem to crop up—the cars all needed repairs this past month, for example—and just be glad I can afford to fix them without borrowing money.

This is the year I read or reread some classics, like Catcher in the Rye, and focus on earning some money. It's when I'll do what most of us plan, and lose ten pounds. This is the year I make plans and follow through. It's going to be a fun and productive year!

Shouting out to the Paper Haus, a wonderful online scrappy mag that I managed to win some goodies from on a blog hop they sponsored recently. Isn't this gorgeous? Check them out!

God Bless and enjoy the days!
