Thanks For The Gumball, Mickey!

If you're about my age, maybe you remember these gumball commercials. I've always thought it was, "Thanks for the gumball, Mickey!" But they just say "Thanks for the gumball!" Maybe there was another version. At any rate, it was one of those commercials that sticks with you way after it's gone. Cue the sentimental music and childhood pictures. Ok! Enough reminiscing.

This is a gumball shaker card I made for the Papercrafts Idol Challenge here.

The challenge is to use washi tape in your card, so I put some rows of tape on cardstock and then die cut circles for the gum. A punch would have been a million times easier, but I didn't have one the right size. Still, I had the die, so I can't complain. I had to fidget with the layers so I didn't get the embossed part of the circle, just the cut. The stars and star sequins come from Pretty Little Studio.

I'm entering it over at Simon Says Stamp too!

Have a Great Monday, and thanks for the gumball!

  2. I remember "Thanks for the gumball, Mickey!" There must have been a different version. Cute card and I love the prints for the gumballs rather than plain colors!
