Blackberry Month Approaches

****GIVEAWAY ALERT THIS WEEK! SEE THIS POST!****

July is blackberry month, and I gotta tell you, I super love blackberries! We had wild ones growing near us when I was a kid and we'd go picking every July. My favorite way to eat them then was in a bowl with milk and sugar. I still enjoy that, but there are so many other ways to enjoy them, including blackberry cobbler. Here's a recipe from All Recipes—I love that site.

One fruit combination for fruit salad that I love is blackberries, watermelon and green grapes. It's so pretty and tasty! No sauce, just sugar on the berries if they need it. You can add strawberries too. It always goes over well at summer parties.

And it wouldn't be my blog if I didn't include a pic of blackberry cupcakes! I'd marry cupcakes if I could...I love them that much :)

Here's a $3.00 digi image from one of the masters of kid art, Mo at Mo's Digital Pencil. She doesn't have blackberries, but she's adorable! Mo also designs for Penny Black and is a talented artist.

Happy Blackberry Month! What's your fave berry?
