Grateful For Flowers

I used this fabulous Hero Arts stamp set called Antique Gratitude Bouquet to make this card. The detail is fabulous and the image is so impressive on its own. I can't decide if I need a ribbon or some last touch, but the stamp is such an eye-catcher, I don't want to gild the lily, as it were.

I used Canvas Corp papers in the black and ivory 6x6 paper pack. And I used the Neon Red Hero Arts ink pad, available here at a2z Scrapbooking Supplies (on sale for $4!). The leaves are Distress Inks.

You can see in this pick that I stamped the image twice and then fussy cut some blooms to pop up slightly. I added these metallic dots. Then I edged the text paper with the Neon Red ink.

I've noticed that the better quality of papers turn out a less bright look with the neon ink. Turns out that the basic cardstock for the printer (less sleek) takes on more of the ink and it soaks in, leaving a more vibrant red. I used it on watercolor paper too and I'll post that image soon—even more vibrant.

If you want or need some great scrappy/stamping supplies, head over to the a2z shop, fill your cart with great deals worth $25 and then pop the code CHARK15 in there to get 15% off your goodies. Look! You have friends in high places. wink!

Hope you have a fabulous weekend!
