Universal Fun

Today I'm sharing two layouts that use photos from our trip to Universal Studios in Florida from 2018. Apparently I took a thousand photos on the trip and have a lot I wanted to scrap because I have at least one in the scrapbook and two more I just made for the Harry Potter World area.

In this layout, I pulled out some Bo Bunny paper I bought awhile back called Key Lime. I got the 6x6 pad because I love that size since you get all the paper choices for a lot less money than the 12x12 pack. I trimmed a lot of the papers to layer together, which is when using a paper pad comes in handy. They all match! I saw a similar layout in a fall issue of Scrapbook and Cards Today, although they stitched the papers in place and I just drew stitches in. I used black foam accents to tie it all together and added some minimal journaling.

The second layout uses photos from the Marvel part of the park...we are definitely a Marvel Universe family though we will watch DC movies, we never read the comics. I used a ticket and a flattened souvenir penny from the trip to add accents. The comic book washi tape was all I had left from a roll...I think it's literally the only washi roll I've used up!

The paper is actually a Halloween paper and the red dot washi tape is some of the first I ever bought. And still haven't used up btw. I think the dots echo the way comics are printed in the newspaper.

I just finished listening to the memoir Let's Pretend This Never Happened and if you're look for some quirky, hilarious stories, The Bloggess has them for you. Highly recommend!

Happy Friday,
Chark
