Sarah, Get Me Mt. Pilot

If you're a Mayberry fan, you probably know Andy Griffith said this a least a dozen times on the phone. That was back in the day when you had to ask the operator to connect you to another person...and apparently, you could never be sure the operator wasn't listening. That had to be a fun job.

The image in this project today is a little later historically, perhaps, but isn't she just the perfect 50's gal? I used some of the components from a make-n-take from my fave local shop, The Paper Cottage and made my own project. The buttons are from Prima and are printed wood. Aren't they super kewl? Or should I say, "Aren't they cool, Daddy-o?" At any rate, I love em! The measuring tape twill ribbon is from my favorite and yours for fun embellies, Alpha Stamps. The stamp is Hello Vintage Girl by Pink Persimmon. Thanks to Val for all the fun images and the Gamsol tutorial! I used Tim Holtz Distress ink for the tag, and glossy accents for the phone and her shoes and belt. The pencils are Prismacolor. I think I'm going to make this tag into a card or just attach it to my mother's day gift for my mom. Anything 50's and 60's reminds me of her, since she was working in the big city in the typing pool back in the day.

Check out my giveaway 13 Going on 30 until April 30th.

Have a great day!
