One More Day Til My Birthday!

I knew you'd wanna know! My husband is fond of announcing his birthday is coming up, even the day after his birthday. "My birthday's coming." So, I'm announcing mine is tomorrow. I'll be 46 and really never imagined being this old. I hoped I'd be, of course, but I could barely imagine in high school what 32 would look like in the year 2000. It looked better than 46! Ha! Ah well, as my mother says, "beats the alternative" and it does. I'm happy to be here, raising my kids, married to the perfect guy for me and enjoying my life.

For example, I'm celebrating that my niece is getting married this weekend. I made a Christmas ornament for them as a gift (to go with the gift card) and I used these awesome wood pieces at Michael's. I used Glossy Accents to adhere three pieces together. I painted two of them with acrylics and left the base piece unfinished. It's a lovely color. On the back, I adhered a piece of paper with their wedding date and names written on it. Hope they like it!

In the close-up, you can see the Glossy Accents I added to the word 'love' to make it stand out even more. I'm happy with how it turned out and it only took a little bit of time to make.
