Journaling Cards Are Fun for Everyone

Over at Moxie Fab, they have a challenge to use journaling cards in a layout or project, so I took the Simple Stories Snap Collection Insta Squares and 4x6 journaling cards (Homespun) and turned them into some projects. I had fun making them and each project came together quickly.

The first is this mini album I made. You can tell its size from the sequin size. It holds wallet-size pics. I folded the little cards and stapled them together and then added some pics and paraphernalia to the album. I added pockets by folding some pages and cutting and gluing others and made one page look like a file folder. I tied on some baker's twine and added some star sequins from Pretty Little Studio. I love their vintage die cuts and now I love their sequins!

For my second project, I used the same collections and made a banner for the house. I layered journaling cards and squares and popped the last layer with pop dots after I used Vintage Photo Distress Ink to distress the edges of the little squares. I also used a corner rounder for the bottom edges of each flag. I added some flower brads to the flowers on the bike and house art to give it a little dimension.

You have until June 22nd to enter, so join me in finding fun and quick projects for your journaling cards!

Found the NBUS challenge site and am entering this there since these journaling cards are new and virginal :) I love the idea behind this challenge. I didn't think I'd ever be someone with schtuff I'd never used, but it's official. I am. Time to use it!

Happy Friday!
