April Showers Bring May Flowers

I'm slightly obsessed with this Antique Rose stamp from Hero Arts, it's so fun to color. It's shaded so it takes very little to make it look fabulous.

Here I just used Distress Inks as watercolors, Squeezed Lemonade and Barn Door.

This version is watercolored with Barn Door and Picked Raspberry. But after it dried, I added some white pen and then some Prismacolor pencils and a black pen.

Here's a video from the incomparable Jennifer McGuire about how she colored on top of inked images, instead of watercolored images, and she does a beautiful job as always. Thanks for the inspiration, Jennifer!

You can get the stamp at a2z Scrapbooking if you're enamored of it like me! And if you use CHARK15 as your coupon code, you can get 15% off your cart when you spend $25 or more before shipping.

Happy Friday!
