All Dressed Up Cutie

Isn't this image just so cute? It's from All Dressed Up stamps. I love their digi images and their style. You can see some more of their images here on my blog.

Now, I wasn't entirely sure how to do her hair and I've noticed some people leave the circle in the middle of her little bun things open, but I assumed it was all hair. At any rate, when you have pink hair and antlers, you can do whatever you want! Her skin didn't come out as smooth as it could've but I liked the hair.

I used some Nuvo drops for the little ornaments and holly berries and her eyes. The scrabble letters were in my stash and the torn papers behind her are from a 6x6 pad. Here's a close-up of the drops.

Gingerbread Girl Power

Ok, love that there is both a gingerbread boy and a girl in this mini stamp set by Kelly Purkey. For a Hero Arts Flickr Secret Santa, I made a card and tag with the girl, cuz girls rock! :)

Here they are. I used the Spellbinder Tranquil Moments dies I've had for awhile. Turns out the thicker paper works better here because the thinner paper tears a bit when you take it out of the die sometimes.

It's A CreativeGirl

Hi, here's another watercolor and pen work I made based on Danielle Donaldson's work. Her book is called CreativeGIRL and I love it. 

I added text to my girl that reads, "some days the smile was just painted on for others. today was one of those days. tomorrow it might not be...tomorrow the smile might be real and go all the way up to her eyes." I just thought she looked a little sad when she was finished. But I felt hopeful she'd feel better tomorrow. 

Here's a close-up. I added white pen and black fine line pen just to make her features pop.
