Paper Pieced Pizza & Pasta

Peter Piper Pieced a Piece of Pretty Paper to Piece a Paper Pizza...or something like that. Awhile ago, Creating Keepsakes had a call for paper pieced designs and they published mine online. Here they are again, just for kicks.

I used brown cardstock for the pizza crust and inked the edges, The pepperoni is a reddish brown paper and the rest is just regular cardstock. To make the olives, just cut a circle, slice through it and cut a smaller circle out and then glue the edges down close to each other so you don't see the cut.

For the placemat, I started with Graphic 45 paper, the same brown for the plate, trimmed the silverware from Graphic 45 paper and added some string spaghetti. I inked the meatball circles and used a local pizza place phone book ad for the napkin. It's card-sized, although mailing it would take extra postage.

It'd be a cute invite for a spaghetti dinner, imo. You could use a pizza for a teen's job layout if they're delivering pizza, or a birthday layout here at my house, because that almost always involves pizza! mmmm....pizza.

Do you ever make your own embellies? Check out Papercrafts magazine here if you want to submit to their latest call. It's all about embellies.

Have a FAB weekend!
