It's So Pinteresting

I thought today I'd share some Pinterest pics that I really want to try today. And then, with luck, I'll be back later this week to share how they turned out!

This beauty of a card is by my former DT buddy, Betty, and I love the whole thing. What I really want to try is the stamping on vellum. I love the soft look of it, even though I'm wondering how my vellum will do with heat embossing. Only one way to find out!

I actually have this embossing folder and love the idea...no added bulk that will add postage, but a unique way to jazz up the envie for a birthday card. April is definitely the month for birthdays in this house, and I have some at the very end of the month, so this could be doable!

I love the colors in this one from Lydia at Altenew and the idea behind it, just a white pencil for shading and a great card color and you're good! I know I don't have this color of paper, but I'm betting I can find something close if I make a trip to the craft store...darn! now I have to go to the craft store. Well, if I have to, I have to. :)

I've Got The Munchies

Don't know why, but I keep thinking of yummy little snacks I'd like to have right now...maybe because it's lunchtime! So, here are some of the goodies I've pinned to Pinterest in the hopes of making them soon.

Meatballs Stuffed in Rolls--this sounds like a great food for Football Game Watching!

And these cutie Gingerbread Sticks for dessert--someone please make these for me!!

Okay off to eat something for lunch that isn't nearly this fun...but I will let you know how some of these are soon!

Pinterest Fail or Win?

I've decided to call it a draw. I'm not sure I pulled off what I was supposed to do for these flowers, but I like them enough, so it's a draw.

Here's what they were supposed to look like. And here's where I pinned it from.

Here's what the original looked like. I also used the wrong flower die, although it had 6 petals like it was supposed to.

Then I made this with the Hero Arts paper flowers using the same tutorial.

Here they are together. I think I love the dimension and the premade flowers went quicker, so I'll use those in the future.

Pinterest Is So Inspiring

So, today I'm planning to get my dies and my Big Shot out and take a crack at creating something with these dies used on this project by Verity Cards. This isn't mine, and I'm just sharing my pin, but isn't it gorgeous? I'm planning to  make a card but I love this box!

I'm also inspired by this pin of Tim Holtz flowers. I have this die too, so I'll give it a shot.

And I'm craving this Spaghetti Carbonara, but not sure if I'll get to it today! I'll let you know Wednesday how all these Pinterest projects turn out!

Do you just pin or do you try things you like on Pinterest? Any successes or failures? Let me know. I've had both...and the successes outweigh the failures so far!
