A Cup of Tea, A Cookie and You

I love a cup of tea and a cookie in the evening and I love Witch Hazel from Bugs Bunny so I'm sharing this 6 second video of her so you can enjoy the dulcet tones of Hazel, lolol.

This is my third blog post for The Coffee Lovers Blog Hop...I'm posting them separately just to get a separate url, but there may be a better way to do this. I just haven't figured it out.

For this card, I used classic black for the A Jillian Vance Coffee Cup die and Crystal Tints paint on white cardstock for the stained glass. I love how vibrant and shiny the paint is...I'm certain I'll be using more of it in the future.

I used a white die first and painted within it, with some sloppy edges that I covered with the final die in black. I mounted this one on some Christmas paper that is just blurred lights. The paper pack had a silver-toned and this gold-toned paper and the gold looked best imo.

Coffee, Tea or Crafts

Here's another post for the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop using a coffee die from A Jillian Vance Designs...I love it. And I used some Crystal Tints paint to make it appear like stained glass.

This time I used clear acetate as the base and then backed it with white cardstock to make the colors pop. I love how glossy it looks on acetate...I used some clear packaging that was a little thicker so it didn't tear with the paint added. This time I didn't actually put down a frame and paint within the lines, just guessed where to put the color...they  mixed a little and flowed as they dried and I like the look.

The top die is cut from gold cardstock...this is a smaller card and not mounted on an A2 base.

Thanks for stopping & Happy Friday!

Coffee Overload

It's time for the Coffee Lovers Fall/Winter Hop and I went crazy with the A Jillian Vance Designs Coffee Die...as you'll notice in my multiple posts. I've had this for awhile and first saw it on the CLH, but I had to cut about a million versions and use it. Unfortunately, I don't think it's available anymore, but they have a lot of coffee/tea products here.

I bought some Crystal Tints paints because it's so cool-looking and is reminiscent of stained glass because of its shiny colorfulness. I only bought the pink, yellow and blue colors just to try them out. I like them and plan to use them again. They have the consistency of thin nail polish.

For this one, I cut a die and adhered it to white cardstock, then I painted in the panes and topped it with two more white dies. It's easiest just to paint the panels and then add a clean version of the die cut on top so you don't have to be too careful while painting. And wash those brushes or plan to throw them out, because the paint will dry hard.

The background is a sweater pattern embossing folder from Stampin' Up and you can find a similar one here from Darice, as the Stampin' Up version doesn't seem to be easy to find...I guess I hold onto  my products a long time! But when you have favorites, you use them again and again.

Happy Hopping!
