Books, Bears and Birds...and Bunnies

I got the cutest little stamp set featuring books and critters in order to make some cards my librarian daughter could give out. And the set comes with tea and coffee sentiments for those who like our books with a cuppa. It's called Books and Coffee and it's from Waffle Flower.

For this first card, I just picked some favorites and started stamping. I added sun and cloud die cuts from Lawn Fawn.

I decided to try a white bear for this one. I added steam to the cup and glossy accents to his glasses.

Same stamping, different coloring. I used Prismacolor pencils on all of these.

I removed some of the stamps and added the sentiment. I feel like he needs some background, but my daughter snagged it before I could add anything.

This card features more books and added bunnies.

And this one is the peeking bunnies only. I just wrote thank you on the book, though I'm guessing I have a little sentiment stamp somewhere that would fit.

And my last card featuring this set is just the birdie and a bunch of books.

Sometimes when you get a new stamp set, you just gotta stamp!

Happy Friday!

What Did The Rancor Say

after he ate a Wookiee? Mmmm...chewy.

Get it? Hilarious, am I right? You're welcome. Of course, only those fans of Star Wars and those of us forced to be fans by your kids like me will get this.

I decided to get these adorable Star Wars digi stamps from 2 Cute Ink Digital Stamps. I'm in the monthly club ($5 a month for 6 stamps) and you can get any images in the store for just $1, so I snapped this one up, along with a lot of others. Each stamp is usually $3.99, so it's a good deal.

I've been coloring like a crazy woman lately, thanks to these stamps. My prismacolor pencils are wearing down! They're just so cute and it's fun to do while watching tv, so that's been my schedule the last few days. I'll be back with more images soon...I may even make cards with them :)

Happy Friday,

Bear Hugs for You

Today I'm up on the a2z Scrapbooking blog with this cute bear hug stamp from Hero Arts. It's on sale right now, as is the star stencil I used...so hop over to the shop and pick them up before they're gone. I love the stencil so much, I use it way too much, probably.

I stenciled the stars on cardstock using silver paste and on vellum using silver Stickles. I love how the vellum turned out. On the cardstock, I used both ink and an ink dauber to color. The ink daubers are great because you apply them straight from the bottle, and that makes it so fast!

The silver line stickers are Dazzle and I got them at the Fort Wayne Stamping show. They have it every year with classes and vendors, including a lot of vendors you don't see anywhere else, with unique stamps and supplies. I highly recommend it if you're anywhere nearby. And the Friday night of classes that you pay extra for is so worth it. We made 10-11 projects and it was a lot of fun. And it doesn't cost an arm and a leg like some shows.

You can get both the star stencil and the stamp set for just $11.50 (the stamps are $8 down from $15 and the stencil is $3.50 down from $8.

Happy Wednesday,
Chark

p.s. remember those pinterest ideas I was planning to try? Yeah, hoping to do so by Friday!
