Halloween Is Looming

We're less than two weeks from Halloween and so I thought I'd share some cute Halloween images today. I love the spooky crafty stuff too and I'll share some of that next Friday. I found Useless Trinkets awhile ago (online) and love her free digi stamps, I've used lots of them. They're adorable and she gives matching sentiments too. These pumpkins are just so cute!

This monster is adorable and I added the Monster Hugs sentiment inside...he could be a birthday card on this paper that I stamped and watercolored, but I haven't decided yet.

This card uses no stamps, digi or otherwise. Just leaf outline stickers, glitter paper and paper scraps. I watched Jennifer McGuire use her scraps and got inspired. I added some metal red dots and called it a day!

Hope you have a great weekend, it's feeling like fall today here in Ohio and we're heading to Fear Fest at Kings Island this week...might be too scary for me, but we'll see!

Happy Friday!

A Little Caffeine Never Hurt Nobody

I pulled my post title from a song, "A Little Party Never Killed Nobody" by Fergie, from The Great Gatsby soundtrack. Here it is if you're wondering...

Here's my second card for the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop, using some October Afternoon paper. Love these women, who are working hard. I added some Halloween accessories to their outfits to make it fit the Fall theme, see their jewelry?

Now, my teen son didn't get who was the happiest employee in the picture...but I'm hoping my caffeine loving buddies will. I typed out the words and cut and pasted. I stamped and then trimmed the coffee cups and added Stickles and steam.

I came up with the idea when I saw the mini cup and large cup in my stamp set I won from the very cool Jennifer at Caffeinated Papercuts. I gave three of the women the regular coffee cup and the one with spider jewelry the larger cup...that means she's the happiest! Now she can breeze through her Monday morning!

Hope you'll join in the fall hop here!

Happy Monday and Happy Hopping!

Happy Fall, Y'all!

I'm not exactly southern, as I'm a native to Ohio, so I technically can't use "y'all," but my daughter's in Kentucky, so maybe I can sneak in some southern bits here and there. Maybe. Here's a simple card that actually took me a bit of time. Simple is sometimes trickier because you gotta get it all right.

I used this stencil for the background dots, Hero Arts neon inks including this red for the leaves and sentiment from the Autumn Leaves set and then my handy dandy scissors to trim them out. I placed a few matching sequins and some falling leaves and stopped. After I put in more leaves, rearranged the sentiment, added a few more leaves, re-glued some and then fiddled with the sequins. Finally I finished and stopped fussing. Works for me!

Feelling Like Fall

The temperature is a little cooler today, making it feel a little more like fall. So I'm sharing a fall birthday card I made over the weekend. It features the Fall Felt Leaves from Hero Arts that I got at a2z Scrapbooking Supplies. They're just $1.50 for twelve leaves and are the perfect size for cards and layouts.

I used glue dots to attach my leaves. The flourish background uses the Leafy Vines stamp. I love this stamp—it's so versatile and looks great as a focal point or background. And the size is just right for cardmaking. If you think it's just right for you, you can get it at a2z here.

I also used Hero Arts ink and it may surprise you to learn I used the Neon Red. This is just how it looks on my text paper, I didn't tone it down or anything. Planning to experiment some more with the neon inks today. And guess what? You can get the ink at, yep, a2z!

If you spend $25 or more, you can use my 15% off code—CHARK15—to reward your good taste :) Because we crafters have to stick together and enable each other!

Happy Wednesday!
