If you have a big party coming up, family dinner or maybe even a graduation or wedding, you can make cute and inexpensive personalized treat bags pretty quickly. You can start with any envelope, seal the all your flap with adhesive, stamp, crease the long edges and one short edge. Trim open the last edge and fold. Turns into a little gift bag cute enough for any occasion.
I used Hero Arts Leafy Vine stamp, silver Staz-On ink and lavender envelopes. Then I stapled silver cardstock and glitter cardstock flags to the top. Easy! I use an envelope board for creasing and a little adhesive on the folded flaps on the bottom.
You can add phrases or initials or whatever you like to personalize each one. These would make place settings at the holidays with holiday colors.
Here's a how-to video (not mine) if you need clarification on how to do this. These are small because I used a smaller envelope, but just think—you could make a large one from a 9x12 manila envelope. That'd be fun for a gift!

I've been glittering butterflies like crazy over here (see here), using my best friend, Stickles glitter glue. I try to stay away from regular glitter, as I make such a huge mess with it, but with Stickles, I can get my sparkle and containment all in one handy product. Here it is up close and personal. I used the Gold Stickles on this after inking it with Distress Inks and letting it dry. I stamped with Sta-On Black so it wouldn't smear and used Hero Arts Antique Engraving stamp set found here at a2z Scrapbooking Supplies. I love this set, it's so realistic and easy and fun to color. If you do a lot of flower stamping, the different-sized butterflies look fab with flowers. I used the Leafy Vines Hero Arts stamp for my background. The gems are also at a2z.
Now, remember, folks, if you love glitter but hate the mess, try the brand Stickles today!
Oh, and just so you know, it is still possible to make a glitter mess with Stickles...if you smoosh it in a stencil, for example, your hands and the stencil will need lots of deglittering. Don't ask me how I know that.

The temperature is a little cooler today, making it feel a little more like fall. So I'm sharing a fall birthday card I made over the weekend.
